John E. Darling
Born in Brockton, Massachusetts and educated in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts public schools, Attorney Darling is a graduate of East Bridgewater High School (valedictorian), Tufts University, B.A. Magna Cum Laude, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, M.A., and Suffolk University Law School, J.D.
He has been active in the community for many years. He served as Chairman for five years of the Town of Wenham Finance and Advisory Committee, a statutory committee that oversees the development of the annual town budget and makes recommendations to the town meeting for its adoption.
He also served as the Chairman of the Town of Wenham Town Hall and Police Station Building Committee that managed: the design and rebuilding of the Town of Wenham’s Historic (1855) Town Hall; the design and construction of a new police station; and the development of a master landscaping plan for the center of Town.
He also was a member of the Hamilton Wenham Regional School District Building Committee that oversaw the construction of a new regional middle school and renovations to the regional High School for the District.
His hobbies including reading and gardening. He lives in Wenham with his wife, Joyce.
